Weight Loss Hack Revealed

For those of you who jumped ahead to read this blog post in front of the prior ones, I say welcome.

For the rest of you, you probably have been waiting to read what I have been doing to lose weight.  What is the secret weight loss hack?

I'm going to tell you, but first, I ask you to have an open mind.

You might read the secret and think it isn't for you.  If you read with that prejudice, you might deprive yourself of the best weight loss system I have ever tried.  Believe me, it's worth a try.

Furthermore, it doesn't just help you lose weight.  Following this plan I am more energetic and many of my everyday aches and pains have gone away.  I believe it will do the same for you.

I'm not a medical doctor, but there are studies out there that say this system will help improve all sorts of health problems.  You will need to do your own research, but I'll help guide you with that.

The weight loss hack is combining two different techniques into one system.

I'm not the first or only one to advocate this combination.  There are many others who have been doing it for a long time.  This is my attempt to put it into layman's terms and to help motivate you and me to make further progress.

I must caution you that to see real progress you must combine these two techniques.  One without the other will both be difficult and quite possibly fruitless (interesting choice of words).  They go together like a hand in a glove.  Let me tell you about them.

The first technique is Intermittent Fasting or IM for short.

I know what you are thinking: FASTING!  NO WAY!

I was just like you.  When I was first told about this, I could spew out loud every reason in the world why it wouldn't work: My metabolism would slow down; My muscle would waste away; My immune system would be compromised; I'll be constantly hungry; One must eat six small meals a day; plus, everybody knows: Fasting is for Political Prisoners!

In my mind, I was thinking the real reason fasting wouldn't work: I like to EAT!

But I was wrong.  I told you I had been making mistakes.  Not believing in fasting was a big mistake.

Fasting works, but not for the reason you may think.

I used to think the only reason fasting worked for weight loss was because, duh, your starving yourself.

Not true.

In fact, not just not true, but the exact opposite.  Not only was my ignorance preventing me from losing weight, it was a co-conspirator in my packing on more pounds.

There is so much more to know about fasting and why it works, but I strive to keep these posts short so I will just say for now that fasting works because it changes the hormones in your bloodstream.  Those hormones are the switch that turns fat burning off and on.

Also, I'm not talking about going for weeks without food.  That is for political prisoners.  

What I'm talking about is Intermittent Fasting.  In other words, you will eat each and every day, but only during specific windows of time. 

No snacking!

I'm serious....put that down!

You can do it.  I will tell you how.

I will explain much more in a future blog post, but that is at least you have been introduced to the first technique, which is fasting.

Now pay attention.  The second technique is vital because you are going to find it almost impossible to do the first technique without it. 

The second technique is the Ketogenic Diet, or Keto for short.

What is Keto?  It is a type of low carbohydrate diet.

That sounds like the Adkins diet, you say.

That is what I thought at first too, but again, I was wrong.

You are not going to be eating bacon three meals a day on Keto.  You actually, if you are doing it right, will be eating a whole bunch of vegetables.  Maybe more in one day than you have ever eaten before.  

You will actually eat only a small amount of protein each day.  Plus, you add in a moderate amount of healthy fat.  More at first and then you will taper off later.

Keto is what makes fasting easier because when you eat Keto properly, you aren't hungry.  Really.

So now you know the secret.

I have told you what to do.
