Another Thing I'm Not
We already established in the last post that I'm not skinny (yet) and that I'm not really a farmer...at least not in the technical sense. I'll write more about that at a future date.
I will be both of those things in the future and will be writing about my journey here.
I need, however, to establish one other thing that I am not:
I am not a medical doctor.
What that means is that nothing that I present to you is to be construed as medical advice.
I know what you are thinking: "Why should I listen to this Skinny Farmer, guy? He is neither skinny, nor a farmer. Heck, he isn't even a medical doctor."
I'll tell you why.
You should listen to me because I have already lost about 60 pounds and it has been relatively easy.
Seriously.
I plan to tell you how I did it and discuss what I'm doing from this point forward.
You won't be receiving medical advice from me. What I will be telling you about is what has worked for me and what hasn't worked for me.
Plus, I plan to write about a lot more than weight loss. This blog will be about living a better life.
Who doesn't want to do that?
You will be reading about health, wellness, motivation, exercise, cooking, gardening, shopping, and pursuing your dreams. Plus other stuff as well.
We will be having some very special guest authors posting here as well. So don't miss a thing. Make sure you subscribe. It's free. Just click on the subscribe button above and put in your email address. Then all the great Skinny Farmer content will be delivered directly to your inbox.
If you are interested in writing anything for our blog, please email us at skinnyfarmerlife@gmail.com.
Personally, I'm excited about this journey we are taking together. We will draw energy and motivation from each other. And keep each other on track.
Just image how wonderful life will be when you finally reach and maintain that healthy weight, and all the other pieces of life fall into place. I can hardly wait!
Let's do this together. I'm so glad you are here.
The lawyers say that I have to remind you to talk to your physician before you embark upon any diet or exercise plan. But you already knew that, so it is sort of insulting to you for me to write that. But you know how it is. Consider yourself warned.
Where do we go from here? Well, we have some ideas. But we will also be responsive to your ideas as well. Please post in the comments the things you would like to read about here.
I say "we" because I have a partner is crime for this Skinny Farmer project. I will introduce you to her at a later time. I'll say this about her: You are in for a treat!
Oh, and please don't expect perfection. I could write these posts and agonize over every word and have them professionally edited and polished. I actually know how to do that. I do it in another aspect of my life. I could do that here too, but nothing would ever get posted.
Here, we plan to be more free-spirited. We will write short posts about our journey and throw out some ideas for you to ponder. Don't take our word for it. Do your own research. That is the first step in your journey. You will be better for it and will get more out of this if you do.
We will try to keep these short because we know you are busy. Thanks for reading.
